Coalport Figurines
In the business of producing pottery, tableware, and figurines for two centuries, Coalport offers the opportunity to create a consistent collection of both vintage and modern figurines for its collectors. Its founder, John Rose, played a leading influence in the development of bone china products, and its figurines celebrate both modern taste and classical elegance.

About Coalport
Started in the late 1700s in Shropshire, England by John Rose, Coalport's bone china soon made it a leading pottery in England. Rose, who learned under the tutelage of Thomas Turner, partnered with Edward Blakeway to buy a pottery. At the beginning, Coalport created tableware. Although figurines fromed a portion of the items produced by the pottery in the early 1800s, demand grew in the second half of the 19th century. By the 1930s, figurines formed the majority of items created by Coalport. In 1967, Coalport became a division of Wedgwood.
