Fontanini figurines
The Fontanini family has been producing figurines in Italy since 1908. One of the more popular producers of nativity sets, their figurines have evolved over the years from production using plaster or paper mache to a polymer resin. Fontanini figurines vary in size from the smallest series, 2 1/2 inches, to the most common among collectors, 5 inches, to the largest, about 50 inches.

Fontanini collectibles are now sold in the United States with a box and story card, which may or may not be present when sold from collector to collector. The story card tells the role of the figure in the Bethlehem nativity story.
