Television Shows
We've all seen Antiques Roadshow at least once. Individuals bring in their family heirlooms or flea market finds and the experts tell them what they are really worth. Sometimes they get it right, sometimes they get it wrong. But it is all a lot of fun to watch. But have you seen the latest, popular television shows for the antiques and collectibles crowd? American Pickers and Storage Wars.
American Pickers follows Mike Wolfe of Antique Archaeology in his quest across America to find hidden gems and treasure. You'll learn about antiques, watch them dig around amongst the sort of stuff that looks like it should be thrown in the garbage, and emerge with a valuable piece of American history.
Storage Wars follows four buyers of repossessed self storage units at auction. The recipe seems sure to be a tv success. Add reality television drama to a show about treasure hunters and it is almost sure to keep you entertained. Check it out!

Valuing Antiques
The first question everyone wants to know about an antique is, "What is it worth?" We all want to know whether we have a good eye for value and what we can sell it for. Right now, we generally point people to Kovels or Worthpoint.
